COURSE CONTENT:
This course aims to develop knowledge and understanding of concepts, practical and communication skills and the ability to apply the knowledge to understand relevant issues. Semester One topics include Atomic Structure and Periodic Table, Bonding of Atoms, and Organic Chemistry.
In Semester Two students will further develop their knowledge by studying the topics of Solutions, Acids Bases & Salts, Electrochemistry and Quantitative Chemistry.

ASSESSMENT:
Students demonstrate evidence of their learning through the following assessment types:

Investigations Folio 60% (Practicals and Investigations)

Skills and Applications Tasks 40% (Topic Tests)
